SeaWorld San Antonio is a fun-filled 250 acre marine and oceanic theme park situated in the Westover Hills District in San Antonio, Texas. It is the largest of the SeaWorld theme parks and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
Established by publishers Harcourt, Brace and Jovanovich for only $170 million, this marine inspired parked opened in 1988 with 75,000 people attending the grand opening ceremonies.
The famous Baby Shamu or Kayla was San Antonio’s very first killer whale born at this SeaWorld Park in 1988. Shamu has been synonymous with SeaWorld Aquarium and Parks ever since.
Want a very cool adventure with sea creatures? Go to SeaWorld San Antonio and experience sea life at its finest. Our beluga whale is one of the most social animals you will find on your Texas SeaWorld adventure. Learn about how the beluga is born dark gray and turns white as he develops and matures. Want to pet our beluga? It’s okay; he will let you, but be prepared to get wet!
Dolphins are everyone’s favorite; maybe because they seem so alive and friendly. You can see SeaWorld’s dolphin show at Dolphin Cove where you can actually hand feed these magical creatures their meals of fish and, gulp, guts.
SeaWorld features a very playful Asian small-clawed Otter who plays a part in the sea lion show. These little guys are so very spirited, funny and entertaining. They “make“ the show.
Visit our penguin display and exhibits. Real-life displays show off the personalities of these little “gentlemen” in their suits. Watch them dive, swim, and actually smile at you as they prance around.

Nothing is better than spending holidays at SeaWorld. Holiday shows feature Shamu, beluga whales, sea lions and the highly popular dolphins. For the Christmas season we have Santa and Shamu Clause splashing and grinning at the holiday crowds.
Take a ride on The Great White the park’s first roller coaster with top speeds of 50 mph. If you are more adventurous ride the Steel Eel, a coaster with top speeds of 70 mph, or maybe you would like to take a Journey to Atlantis.
